Elbow Orthopedics
Surgical vs. Conservative Care Options
During the patient’s initial consultation, the surgeon will gather as much information as possible to best determine the pros and cons of surgical vs. conservative care options. While non-surgical treatment can allow patients with lower physical demands to live a normal, pain-free lifestyle, more active patients typically choose surgical intervention. During the initial evaluation, Dr. Mora will examine his patient and review all imaging to determine whether the patient should start physical therapy, receive injections in combination with physical therapy, or if surgical intervention is needed at this time. After discussing the pros and cons of each, the patient is able to make an informed decision for their body.
